Registration:
Online registration closes on Friday, September 2nd at 5:00 PM. Registration
should always be done as early as possible. You must register online from
this website or at www.eventsonline.ca
. Registering early will guarantee you a spot and a race t-shirt.
Late Race Registration
If spots are available in your race, you may register
at the race site, the Olympic Rowing Basin, on Friday, September 9th between
3:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Please note that there is no guarantee of a race
t-shirt for late registrants. No race day registration will
be accepted.
Race Packet Pick Up
On Friday, September 9th, between 3:00 PM and 7:00
PM we have race packet pick up for those pre registered triathletes. It
is advisable, if possible, to get your packet at this time. You will have
a chance to attend the race meeting, visit our Expo, check out the race
site and, above all, make sure everything in your race bag is correct.
If you are unable to arrive on Friday, you may pick up your race packet
on Saturday but please arrive at least 2 hours before your wave start
time.
TRIATHLETE - COURSE INFORMATION MEETING
During registration there will be a participant
information meeting at the Awards Stage in the athletes' village.
The meeting for all Esprit Ironman Distance and Demi-Esprit is at 5:00
PM. Sprint, Olympic and Duathlon participants’ meeting is
at 6:00 PM.
General Registration Information:
Your Race Number
There is 1 race bib. This
bib must be worn on your front for the run portion. Your bike number must
be installed on your bike as close to the handle bars as possible. Your
helmet number (Esprit and Demi-Esprit only) should be placed on the right
hand side of your cycling helmet. Your race bib and bike number
are necessary for entering and leaving the transition area. You may not
enter the transition area until you have your race bib, bike number and
computer chip (from the Sportstats tent next to the registration tent).
Esprit and Demi-Esprit participants will also receive a bike computer
chip for lap counting. All participants’ bib numbers and bike
numbers will be verified when you leave the transition area with your
bike.
Medical Information
You will find a medical questionnaire on the
back of your race bib. You must complete this questionnaire for
your own safety.
Medical supervision will be evident throughout the race.
The medical staff has the right to stop any participant during the triathlon
or to disqualify an athlete for his own safety. However, please remember
that if a medic stops you or if you receive medical attention on the course,
this does not necessarily mean that you are disqualified. We will have
numerous physiotherapists, nurses and doctors circling the course. The
main medical area will be situated near the finish line. Massages will
be available near the medical area after the race. .
Categories
Each participant will be
placed in an age group category according to his/her age on December
31st, 2011. At registration please make sure you are in your proper age
category and verify all other personal information. There will be
awards for the top 3 finishers in each age group.
NO Bicycle Inspection
There will be no bike inspection
as you are responsible for the safety of your own bicycle. Mechanics from
MARTIN'S SWISS CYCLE will be on hand at registration
and during the race to help you with any minor repairs or adjustments.

Special Needs Bags (SN): Esprit and Demi-Esprit
Esprit Ironman Distance and Demi-Esprit participants,
if you need a "Special Needs" bag ask for one at registration.
SN is for any special needs (i.e. gel, sandwiches, etc...) that you want
given to you during the bike or run. Before the race, put your SN
bags into the appropriate bins (COURSE/RUN or VELO/BIKE) on the Special
Needs table located in your transition zone. Do not put anything in this
bag that you want back after the race.
Computer Chip
Sportstats of Ottawa, Ontario
is our timing company. Sportstats uses the "CHAMPION CHIP"
computer timing system. Race morning you must go to the Sportstats
tent located beside the registration big white tent, and pick up your
ankle computer chip. This chip must be worn throughout the race,
including the swim portion. Once you cross the Finish Line volunteers
will remove the chip from your ankle.
Esprit Ironman Distance and Demi-Esprit
participants will also pick up a
bike computer chip for the lap counting on the Circuit. You must
install this chip on your wheel sprocket.
Triathlon Quebec Fees (TQ) and Insurance
All non members of Triathlon Quebec (TQ) and all non
Quebec residents must pay a one day TQ fee of CDN / US$12All Triathlon
Relay Team TQ fee is CDN $15 / US $15 for the team. The Duathlon
Relay TQ fees is CDN/US 10$
Refund Policy
A 75 % refund will be given until August 22nd.
From August 23rd until September 2nd, a 50 % credit will be issued for
the following year. Starting on September 3rd, no refunds or credits will
be issued under any circumstances
